A small, London-based independent publisher, Hesperus Press is committed to bringing near what is far – far both in space and time. Works written by the greatest authors, and unjustly neglected or simply little known in the English-speaking world, are made accessible through new translations and a completely fresh editorial approach. Through these short classic works, each around 100 pages in length, the reader will be introduced to the greatest writers from all times and cultures.

Just musing but has there been any interest in a book club (of sorts)?
For example – Would it be possible for someone to sign up to a Hesperus book of the month type club? Each month (or however often you publish) a brand spanking new book appears through the post? Ensuring readers never miss out. There are so many books from Hesperus I find it hard to keep up! I’ve yet to read one I didn’t enjoy.
If people wanted to get really fancy they could opt for in for books of certain genre.
Dear Eve,
That’s a fantastic idea – thank you so much for suggesting it. I’ll certainly put it forward at our next meeting.
Best wishes,
ER
so glad you have bought the rights to The centenarian who climbed out the window and disappeared. Have read it in Swedish and want to share it with my English family! Can’t wait
