Shelfari

They’re not bad, these computer things, are they? I spent a large portion of Saturday (very ineptly) assembling bookshelves in my house, and a thoroughly irritating task it was too. When I’d actually got the things to stand and/or hang - no mean feat as at the beginning of the exercise I’d never heard of a rawl plug - they filled up immediately with the piles of books that had been stacked on the floor. So now I’ll need to spend another Saturday accommodating prospective purchases.
All of which has made my experience of Shelfari seem very painless. Pleasant, even. No fiddling around with spirit levels or having to hide huge chunks of missing plaster as a result of incompetent hammering. That’s right, Hesperus is now a force on Shelfari, and our user name is (wait for it): Hesperus_Press. We’re currently rather sad and friendless, so please do add us. Similarly, if anyone has any tips that may help me to get my bearings, they’ll be gratefully received…

I must admit, I’ve not managed to navigate Shelfari as easily as Facebook and have an embarrassingly small number of Shelfari friends myself!
Your easiest way of getting friends is simply sending out a whole pile of emails (via Shelfari) to everyone in your address book …
You’re doing great. I have you as a friend now and I think it will take you no time at all to make friends, especially given the quality and interesting nature of the books published by your press, but also it seems like anyone who wants to “chat” makes friends easily enough. Just wanted to encourage you and say I’m looking forward to more of an acquaintance via Shelfari.
