Just a quick one today as I’m about to skip off on my jollies (yay!), but I love this idea. Reminds me of summers spent foraging in book exchanges in hostels while backpacking. What I particularly love about it is the facility for tracking each book using the ‘unique ID number’: on the rare occasion that I’ve been forced to leave a book behind (usually as a result of luggage constraints), I’ve often wondered where it might have ended up.
It may well not work – hostel book exchanges function so well because most people simply can’t fit that extra book in their luggage, so generosity is foisted upon them. But I’m glad someone’s trying.
